The Miniature Schnauzer is a small dog breed which originates in Germany, belonging to the Terrier group.
They are a very alert and active breed of dog making them great to alarm of oncoming visitors. They do not require a lot of exercise and because of that reason they are great for the city as pets of elderly people.
They are of medium size at 13 to 14 inches at the shoulders and have an average litter size of 4 and an average life span of 9 to 15 years.
They get along well with other cats and dogs and are usually really good with children.
They need about 20 to 30 minutes a day of daily exercise.
