Barbet (French Water Dog)

The Bassugg is a crossed breed dog from the Basset Hound and the pug. These kind of dogs are extremely smart and it is not a purebred. It has the mouth of the pug and the ears of the basset hound. It is also hyper active and enjoys walks. It is not a very friendly dog. Be careful in handling it. Make sure it only eats 2 time a day. The Bassugg likes to be eith its master. They are small but very powerful.

Recognized Names:
American Canine Hybrid Club = Bassugg
Designer Dogs Kennel Club = Bassugg

I have a bassug and he is definitely not hyper active in any way. In fact, he sleeps most of the day and is a great apartment dog. He is also incredibly friendly and obedient. Bassugs have a longer nose/mouth, not like a pug's at all. I'm not sure where you got this information but isn't very accurate. You might want to look at what actual dog breeders are saying about this hybrid before you post misleading statements for others to read.

I also have a Bassugg (and others I've known)... again definitely NOT a dog that is hyper-active - VERY friendly to people and other animals. Your dog must have something else in its blood and not a true Bassugg - that's for sure. This hybrid is one of the best for family, kids, and apartment living.
